Vanir Beasts

Possessed by a restless nature spirit, Vanir beasts have all the might of the animal they once were, but amplified by primal magic. This process leaves the beast twisted and even more unpredictable.

History

Asmund, Bairrfhionn, Isa, and Gunnar encountered a Giant Boar possesed by a Vanir spirit on their journey through Dovrefjell Forest. It was capable of withstanding an enormous amount of damage from Isa, who had wildshaped into a Grizzly Bear in order to restrain it, before falling to a spear thrust delivered by Gunnar. Isa collected a vial of the glowing smegma from the boar but as soon as Bairfhionn began to attempt to take a sample of its hide its flesh disintegrated into a writhing, worm-like mass, leaving only a gore stained skeleton in its wake. Asmund then collected one of its tusks as proof of the deed.
