The Targens were a wealthy merchant family in Ginnunga slowly rising to power, when Jemos s was founded. The Targens quickly realized the opportunity and started facilitating trade between the two nations. Even setting up a small outpost on a river to help transport goods from one place to the other through the peninsula. As they gained more and more wealth, they began to expand their holdings, through both legal and illegal ventures, and eventually came to own all the land separating Ginnunga and Jemos. Because of their great wealth due to controlling trade, they also could afford a great military, which has done a great job keeping the peace (more like a great job ensuring trade routes remain in place and uninterrupted). Verkauf is a place teeming with opportunity. As the richest nation, there is plenty of work to be had for laborers, and plenty of deals to be made for merchants.

Verkauf is a peninsula with a large river traveling through it. This river, the Fliessend, is home to Verkaufheim. The main hub of Verkauf, it is home to illustrious Merchant's Guild, the official owners of the nation. While the Merchant's Guild literally owns all the land in Verkauf, it does none of the governing. Instead that is left to the mayor of Verkaufheim. Recent events have left Gunter Disir as the mayor of Verkaufheim, and ruler of Verkauf. To the North of Verkaufheim is large stretch of woods known to locals as Holzhof Woods. While the occasional monster is found in these woods, those travelling through Verkauf should watch out more for the people they encounter. More than a few angry business deals have left folks dead in Verkauf.
