Corticena Anni

A type of Corticean that lives along the shore lines of the Old Southern Continent . It does not possess a nucleotid, but instead has free strings of RNA floating around alongside carbohydrates and lipides in it's water-filled inside vakuole. Corticena Anni is dependend on the light of Ilaga and thus found mostly near the ocean surface and away from volcanic islands. But it is heat tolerant and can survive for some time without getting outside energy. It has a di-lipide membrane, but lacks any ribosoms. Instead, the free RNA molecules function both as organells and information storage. It uses carbondyoxide and water for it's sustainment and releases oxygen and hydrogen as wasteproducts.  Corticena Anni seldom appears together with other Corticeans, mostly due to diffrent environmental preferences, but can sometimes fell adrift and found alongside volcanic islands or clay deposites. As the deep ocean can't provide it with energy, it normally dies off in those environments.
