Corticena Timmii
A species of Corticeans , which lives in the sea on clay surfaces. It has a mono-lipide membrane and free RNA-strings that function as storage and organells. Because of it's environment it uses silicates to stabilize it's body. It fixates carbondioxite and nitrogen, as well as it uses energy from sulfur. It can use ATP in environments rich on phosphorous to transport energy within the cell, but does not need it for it's function.
Corticena Timmii lives near hydrothermal vents and coexists with other forms of Corticeans, like Corticena Ricardii , C. Georgii and C. Julii. Due to it's membrane type it is able to trade RNA fragments with C. Georgii.
