Marego

Marego is the Place Where It All Started. It's a planet roughly the size of the earth (about 12,700 km in diameter) inside the Ilaga Solar System . It is - like our earth - the third of four rocky planets. It's got a magnetic field, a slightly radioactive core and an atmosphere mostly made of carbon dioxide and nitrogen at that point. For the last approximatly two billion years it got bombarded by astroids and even a planetoid, which resultet in the creation of Inyaga , the moon orbiting Marego. Those impacts set free water on the planet and fueled early plate tectonics. We are now at the beginning of the third billenium and for the first time primitive life established itself in the deep and acidic waters of the early Marego ocean, which covers almost the complete northern hemisphere. As the atmosphere is thick, acidic and warm there are no ice sheets anywhere, but along the ocean ridges there are black and white smokers in abundance. The story of life on Marego begins right in this moment!

Corticean Era - Tectonic Plates and Sealevel
The sealevel in the Cortican Era was high and with the exception of one big continent in the south and a handfull of volcanic ilsands in the north, the whole planet was covered in water. Tectonics did not yet have had an effect on sea and landmasses.
