Aubreck Drallion
Aubreck Drallion- Caoki, Senior

After five years of "squalor" within his decrepid mansion, Mr. Drallion has recovered his treasure from The Party. Time will only tell if he can recover his mercantile empire with his liquid assets returned...

Physical Description
Apparel & Accessories
Mr. Drallion wears somewhat out-of-date clothes, as his limited funds have prevented him from staying atop the fashion trends like he once did. Blue is his favorite color, and as such many of his coats, hats, and ribbons are blue with trimmings of gold or silver.
Mental characteristics
Sexuality
Bisexual (attracted to men, women, and some non-binary individuals).
Education
Aubreck Drallion studied within the Raan Dynasty Dynasty, a domestic nation within the Empire of Keoland. There he was schooled in classical languages such as Draconic; recieved an education regarding mathematics, philosophy, and rudimentary arcana; and learned the basic principles of mercantilism.
Employment
Mr. Drallion is the president of the Drallion Shipping Company, which was once one of the premier mercantile operations in the Southern Coast Colonies - rival only to the Primewater Fleet. After the loss of The Emperor of the Waves and his fortune, the Drallion company fell on hard times; much of it had been liquidated to fund the expansion of plantations in the south anyways. Aubreck still operates his merchant business, but on a much more limited scale.
Accomplishments & Achievements
While coming from a privleged family, Aubreck was the first to take the family wealth into business. The Caoki family in the Dynasty is something of landed gentry; an old family dating back to pre-imperial days, with money and connections to spare. Aubreck's pivot and ensuing marriage to the late Ovina Drallion was successful, and his risky ventures tended to pan out well. This allowed Aubreck Drallion to employ a literal hundred ships before the war, and still have a mercantile armada during and afterwards.
Failures & Embarrassments
The loss of the Emperor of the Waves was a particular slight to Aubreck's pride, and ruined his entire business empire. For a noble with such a meteoric rise, he hand an equally explosive fall.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Aubreck Drallion does not merely want money; he wants riches to secure a prosperous future for himself and his descendants. His time in school instilled Raanite values of defending the hearth within him, which he has interpreted as ensuring his family - specifically his wife's family - is well protected and has a proserpous future. Furthermore, a new age of colonialism is upon the world; what better way to ensure the Drallion name is well established than to entrench it into the new Imperial Order?
Social
Family Ties
Coming from a matrilineal culture, Aubreck is more tied to the Drallion family he married into than his birth family, the prominent Raanite family of Caoki. Marrying a dwarf is somewhat frowned upon in both Keoish and Raanite customs, but Aubreck embraced the opportunity as a way to cement himself as part of the new Empire. While his wife, Ovina Drallion, passed away some twenty years ago, he is still well tied to her relatives in the colonies - and their son, a half-dwarf boy named Aubreck Junior - is a successful merchant even under his father's somewhat strained company.
Religious Views
Aubreck was raised in the Raan Dynasty, and as such is partial to the Followers of Raan for spiritual guidance. While not particularly devout, he appreciates much of their philosophy and utilized elements of Raanite teachings to allow his ships to escape the raiding Sea Princes during the war.
Wealth & Financial state
Aubreck Drallion, at the height of his wealth, was so rich he could liquidate much of his assets into a hundred thousand gold pieces worth of promisary notes, and still operate a sizeable merchant operation after all 100,000gp were lost at sea.
