Seaton
Seaton was once basically a larger Saltmarsh – but Emperor Kimberlos Skotti’s attentions made it a military fort, it’s once robust fishing culture turned into a drab fortress. It is ruled by Duke Marik Feldren, who wants to aggressively assault the Sea Princes.
Government
Seaton is ruled by Duke Marik Feldren, who inherited the position from his elder brother, the late Obertus Feldren. The Duke of Seaton also rules the entirety of the Southern Coast Colonies. The Feldrens were granted the Dukeship for Obertus's heroism in the Eastern Campaign by Emperor Skotti. Before this, the duke was separate from the town council - but the empire dissolved the old council after the war.
The military presence in Seaton is also strong, and the Duke is the ultimate regional commander in chief of the town guard, military bases, and outlying military and law enforcement organizations such as Burle and the Saltmarsh Guard

Defences
The whole town is walled, and the port in particular is heavily fortified - being the site of a recently constructed star fortress - as well as the home port of an entire naval garrison.
Industry & Trade
While Seaton used to be a robust fishing town integral to the fur trade - and it still, to a degree, is - the city is much more of a military port these days. The increased imperial presence has choked out some industry by seizing land, resources, and other capital as well as pressing some sailors into service and scaring off the less legitimate merchants.
Guilds and Factions
The Empire of Keoland
Effectively the result of a loyalist victory, Seaton is a hotbed of imperial activity. The town is entirely controlled by the hothead and intensely loyalist Marik Feldren. The Mariner's Guild
The Mariner's Guild extends all across the Southern Coast Colonies, and Seaton is no exception. The Longest House
A poweful organization of jan pana pana, mostly elves, operates as a rumored crime syndicate and rebel group within Seaton. While officially a cultural society, it is widely believed - but impossible to prove - that the potlatches they organize for the local jan pana community is a way to covertly organize anti-imperial activity.Merchant Princes
What remains of the Traditionalist presence in Seaton is a loose confederation of merchant princes. They largely desire the imperial presence to back off and allow them to return to their mercantile rulership. Several of them were once council members, and are furious at the removal of their power. As the largest employers in the city besides the empire, the many powerful merchants of Seaton have widespread popular support.Aubreck Drallion
Once the most powerful merchant prince in Seaton, Aubreck Drallion lost almost all his savings aboard the ill-fated Emperor of the Waves when it went missing in 209 IA.
