Inferno 25: "Curse of Oberon, Part III"

General Summary

In a final effort to complete the prerequisites for Fredrika Todesfall's contract with Oberon Nikolic, the party enters the walled town of Krezk, meeting the insane and possibly celestial Abbot and the Regnan vampire hunter Alruna, mentee of Rudolph. After doing a favor for the Abbot, the party learns of the key to breaking Oberon's curse. Setting out for the Amber Temple, the party finds Trofim, who admits to being Rudolph before Marius pushes him from a bridge, sending him plummeting to his death.
With the vampire hunter dead and contract business soon taken care of, the party enters the Amber Temple once again on Bianca's birthday, finding and defeating a lich of Orcus, the sustainer of the curse. With sun shining in Barovia for the first time in centuries, the party prepares to leave, taking Ilya with them. In a last tense conversation with Alruna, she stubbornly refuses to leave after the death of her mentor, who Marius passes off as having died in battle with the lich.
