Materia 34: "Radiant Souls"

General Summary

Fighting their would-be captor Ilphas Fahana to the death, the party investigates the Raven's Tree. After finding dwarven gold on the bodies of Two-Eyed Beholder mercenaries, the party finds evidence of Jun Houou potentially being resurrected upon one of the Raven Queen's alters. Using Mari's wand to gain access to the secrets of the Ith, the party gains their divine power and becomes Radiant Souls.
Escaping from the Transcendant Tomb after a stint of unconciousness, the party quickly gains the trust of a merchant named Guar Orion who promises to take them to Ishllond should a local conflict with a mysterous 'white devil' be solved. Arriving in Can Vahair’h via the Carric Stepwell, the party meets Utkan Sebasi, a servant of the Sultan and Apostle of Asmodeus. Sensing something is amiss, the party leaves Viseri to rest and opts to investigate the local Ilthal dam in hope of solving the threat looming over the town and finding Jun.
At the dam, the party finds a scared Dusk Companion who warns them of a white-haired woman with great lightning magic who was possessed by a sacrifice ritual led by Utkan. Warning of their demise should they attempt a straight-on fight, the cleric advises finding a using a nearby spell scroll to remove the woman's possession. Headed to the dam's control room, the party finds evidence of the ritual and the white-haired woman.
