Spymaster Jun Houou

Jun Houou is the Spymaster of Kunigawa.

Life

Jun was born in Kyongju, where he was orphaned and lived in poverty. He was recruited by Suzume Fujiwara at the age of 16 after saving her from a pickpocket during a visit to Hayasaki.
He was primarily in charge front-of-house duties such as cleaning and serving food at the Fujiwara estate in Seito before being recruited to be a personal servant of Hanako Fujiwara, who eventually introduced him to Mari, who later became his lover.
After being kidnapped by forces loyal to Aiwin Thedan during the Solite-Shou War of 1198, Jun gained the blessing of the Raven Queen.

Personality

When working, Jun is an ideal image of an attentive, serious, and diligent servant who enjoys fitness and some martial arts. However, his actual personality is quite different. He is a confident and extroverted risk taker who enjoys exploiting his position for all the hedonistic pleasure he can get from it. He has enjoyed at times the humiliation of high-ranking nobles, a proclivity likely spawned from his impoverished youth.
