Straaten is the capital of the Republic of the Riverlands. It is a world port, facilitating trade between the Shou Empire, the Grand Duchy of Ola Thamar, and the Kingdoms of Sylvenne, Luncia, and Albasca. Part of the city is on the water, and uses a system of water taxis as well as roads.
