The Burning Guide Lighthouse

The Burning Guide Lighthouse is a large smoothed stone lighthouse which lends its light to guide travelers through the dark and ever storming landscape of Fulgur. The lighthouse stands tall ,in the center of the region, set on a mountain as to cast its light throughout. No one truly knows who keeps the light burning but some wild and distant sources claim it to be the nest of a powerful dragon.

Purpose / Function

The original intended use was to allow for settlements to develop in the region of Fulgur which seemed to be an endless storm. Its creation is not entirely known but many suspect the first people who lived there built it to promote trade and to keep some type of schedule. Today it is used as a guiding light for travelers of all kind and as a symbol of pride for the civilizations who have endured the weathering, some still look out for its light as a reminder of their daily tasks.

The only noticeable alteration from its original form is that the structure itself has grown in size with some metallic additions to the structure.

History

The original lighthouse was constructed by the settlers whom wished to inhabit the region of Fulgur, The Never Ending Storm. It took years of work to get it to a fully functional tower with a suitable light fixture set atop in order to shine its light over a widespread area. The instructions and funding for the tower came from a wealthy family who wanted it made so that they could bring trade into the region. After its construction the building was kept by various people through the ages although due to its location the keepers tend to be isolated and hermits. Originally meant for guiding travelers, bringing trade, and keeping a time schedule, its purpose has been surpassed and now lays as a reminder and symbol of hope. Along with the loss of its purpose over the years the people have also forgotten who is the keeper although its light shines on.
