Medina

The largest continent in the plane of the same name. Medina is home to many countries and regions. The continent's history stretches back into multiple ages. The current age being the age of heroes, named after the divinely empowered warriors that ended the previous age of conquest.
During the age of conquest many of the ancient civilisations of Medina fell, this is attributed to the machinations of the Usurper of the Heavens, a dark entity that tried to conquer the world and overthrow the gods. Medina was the primary battleground in this conflict. The Usurper and its servants, mortal agents known as dark lords clashed against the forces of the just gods and their Chosen warriors.
In the end the forces of the Usurper were repelled and cast into obscuras. However the Usurper had the last laugh, as when it was banished it cast a final spiteful curse that erased much of the world's knowledge from both mind and text. A disaster now known as the Tripura Eclipse.
