The Four Scions

The Four Scions is a temple to Thoxia in Vanla. The temple is built with a long central hall with two side wings, suggesting the compass rose that is Thoxia's symbol. The dark stone walls of this temple constantly have a sheen of damp, and amplify and echo the crashing waves from the pool at the end of the great hall. The echos and damp suggest the atmosphere of a thunderstorm. Above, murals of thunder clouds and breakers cover the ceilings. In the surprisingly quiet wings, two pools sit. One has rain constantly falling into it, the other sits in flat calm.
