Terramonta is as its name describes, the end of the Natdividan World. It is situated in a canyon in the Seraph Peaks meaning the Northern and Southern face of the city is mountain. As they do not have the geographic sprawl seen in cities like
Yunque and
Pasafin , they have opted to build upwards. The tallest of the buildings are built into the mountains themselves.
The main road that spans the entirety of Natdivida, the
Elidian Causeway , starts at the Solar Gate which is on the Eastern most front of the city; protecting it from raiders.
Politics
The city is positioned on the only boarder Natdivida has with another landmass they do not control. For this reason, they have a large and powerful showing of the Sentinel Corp. The city's "mayor" is technically in charge of the politics, but the Marshall of Terremonta is in charge of the Sentinel Corp and is the one who can veto any decision made by the Mayoral offices.
Economics
The city's main income is from the trade and imports they get from the desert and the forest. Many people who do not have access to the large ships needed to sail to Pasafin or Yunque travel to Terramonta by foot. The strong community of small vendors and merchants support the city where the military funding fails.
Recent (Plot Relevant) History
On the day following the Reckoning, the City of Terramonta was attacked by Desert Raiders of the
Yaqao Tribe. The city guard was no match for the full scale invasion that was launched, and the only reason the city didn't fall was to Quinn Glorybuff. She was dubbed the Savior of Terremonta, and a large bell tower was constructed in her and Asil's honor.
