Gloom

Gloom is a malicious curse causes by nefarious spirit that takes up residence in the mind and bodies of mortals. 
They feed off the hardest emotions of the victim by amplifying the emotion the subspecies is known for.  This amplified state of emotions can include but not limited to anger, depression, loneliness, regret and jealousy. 

History

Although many cultures have unique views on the glooms creation, the most common belief is they were originally formed out of the scraps of Geheim's diary. Being made of am empty form and fragment emotions it took form, hatching in the thousands like an insect nest of void.

Cure

The condition once obtained is mostly permanent, with no known cure.  However there are techniques to reduce the effects, burning rosemary as it removes the harmful energies, receiving a sacred blessing, and positive support to combat the negative thoughts. Some have also found taking drugs reduces the harmful effects drastically.
