Lycanthropy Protection
It is a tradition dating back to the earliest of Mirran but some believe it started with the Chinderin rejecting the cultists of Lurnth who were blessed with lycanthropy, typically in the form of a wereboar.
It is about smearing Tandothel, a pointy root, on a homes entrance to repel individuals inflicted with lycanthropy.
Its most commonly found in the north eastern areas of Amriga for the roots rarity.
The commonality of the tradition has died off as the Stoic of Creeh eradicated a large population of lycanthropes.
History
It originated from the tribal days when hunters would hang a Tandothel root out of their hut to turn away wereboars.
A great artificer weaponized the root creating potent poisons for the lycanthropes. They were so effective that most local wereboar populations were wiped out. This heavily reduced the tradition making it limited to small regions in the wilderness or on secluded Islands.
Execution
There are a multitude of waysvto achieve the same effect.
Its either hanged as a cut root or it is processed in to oils and rubbed into the wooden doors.
Components and tools
Tandothel, string, oil press if turning it into oils.
Observance
There are two common dates for it to occur, during the end of a month seen as a good time to prepare for the next.
Or when moving into a place for the first time.
