The child takes the father's name(which was originally the father's surname) and the first child is named after their father with the following children taking other relatives names. Middle names are given based on the last family member that passed as a form of respect. Once becoming a father the first name is lost and the surname is adopted as a first name.

History
The road into the world through the abyss arising in the Ahgrondmer ocean on the northeastern side of Amriga.
They prospered as a civilization for centuries with their downfall starting when they discovered the Pearl. This led to war with the Nain. They eventually were dying out and in a last ditch effort pleaded to their divines for help and Shesire gifted them with the immense power of fire, turning them into the Ashen. The population of ashen fought back the nain, but it wasn't long till relations between the mirrans and ashen turned sour. This led to certain groups fleeing their home to either Jultren becoming the Huikliis or to Sembar becoming the Donhuid. The Huikliis returned to Amriga riding dragons to reclaim their home but failed.
