Artisan Sellers
Announcement Text
In #caribbean-marketplace, small businesses, hobbyists, and various other artisans are starting to gather for the open air market sale. There will be food, projects, and people to meet (or feed) from! Vampires: -1 difficulty to feed
Changelings: -1 difficulty to collect Glamour
Opening Text
Motown blares over the speakers as the sellers begin to set up their wares. There are beautiful handmade tapestries, oddly shaped mugs and gifts, and even a few sculptures that would make your grandfather grumble that "anyone can make art nowadays." In amongst the people are, of course, those who pose a threat to them. Whether it's a malicious threat (that they will take your body or your mind), or simply collateral damage, there is danger here that most wouldn't even notice.
But it is time to put away such ideas, for now is the time to enjoy the bustling crowd, look for some deals, and enjoy this spacious outdoor event.
Closing Text
The shops begin closing down and packing up when the large clock by the entrance to the marketplace reads 2 AM - far longer than most places would stay open, but the organizers were slid a few crisp bills to keep the doors open a bit longer.
Breaking down takes half the time to set up, as the artists have sold a good portion of their merchandise. They lug their large displays to their trucks, SUVs, and vans. Some brave souls even try to fit all these items into their sedans. But finally, the marketplace is emptied out, with only the buzzing of the streetlamps to keep the moths company.
Other Information
Other people/notable things to include:- Autumn person hipster ("everything here is so obviously machine made")
- Dreamer Seminole (native american) jewelry artisan
- Large silver bowl big enough to keep fish in (or drain a person into/or conduct rituals using)
- Garou Kinfolk bargain hunter
- Cult of Ecstasy sorcerer and seelie satyr duo serving the best mixed drinks on the block
- A mug with the University of Miami logo on it ("go Hurricanes!" the potter says enthusiastically)
- A shop that makes little miniature clay versions of food about the size of your thumb, and can even make them into wearable jewelry
Drag Show
Announcement Text
A club known as The Lucky Rabbit on #ocean-drive is having a drag show! All are invited, all can participate - just bring your highest heels and your drunkest selves for the night of your lives!
Changelings: -1 difficulty to collect Glamour. -2 to all cantrips.
Opening Text
The buzz on the floor is electric. Everyone's jazzed to cheer on (or jeer at) the performers tonight. The lights are hot, the stage is set. A dressing room backstage provides costumes, wigs, and shoes for those who couldn't bring their own, but makeup has to be brought yourself ("sorry hon, it's a safety concern"). A man in a white collared shirt with a black-and-white striped tie and rainbow suspenders holds the sign-up sheet in one hand and the mic in the other, ready to announce everyone like they're an Oprah guest.
Closing Text
A party that lasts until the sun rises is still a party to remember. The drunken crowd stumbles back home, makeup smeared on faces and clothing like a Jackson Pollock painting. It's a blurry haze as to what exactly happened, but [winner] has a bejeweled plastic crown to remember this triumph by.
[winner], +1 XP.
Other Information
- the man will ask for their age, name, stage name, and what song they want to use
- makeup is a dexterity + crafts check, diff 6
- performance is a charisma + performance check, diff 8 (for every two successes on makeup, lower the difficulty by 1)
- person with the highest successes on performance gets the "drama queen" crown and free drinks for the rest of the night
- this is both male and female drag
- person with the lowest number of successes is consoled with a free drink from the pretty bartender, makeup on the left side of their face making them look like a bearded man, makeup on the right side a beautiful woman. Their hair is also split right down the middle (black and sheared short on the left, long and luxorious pink on the right).
Fortune Teller
Announcement Text
A little tent has been opened on the #streets-downtown. It says "Madame Jude's Tarot Readings," and has a symbol of an eye below it. Who will approach the fortune teller Winona Jude ? Who dares to know their future? Winona already knows, but the night is young as of yet.
Opening Text
A thick carpeted tent is set up along a sidestreet downtown. It muffles sound and light so much that at first when you step through it is difficult to see who awaits you. Inside sits a woman in wheelchair, with a grave and beautiful face. A crystal ball is in front of her, swirling with mist and magic, while a deck of cards rests under her right hand. She waits for her clients... and for the futures they will tell.
Closing Text
A mist arises around the tent, mimicking that within Winona Jude's crystal ball. It swirls about, masking the tent from view. When it is slowly blown apart by the wind, the tent is gone - as is Winona, her fortunes gained and her visions secure.
Other Information
- Ask the player for a specific question: "am I on the right path?" or "will I find love?" If they don't have one, simply do a vague future reading.
- Use a tarot card randomizer (such as this one) to choose three cards for the character.
- Have the player roll three d10s. Odds, the card is upright. Evens, the card is reversed.
- Using a guide for what tarot cards mean (and pulling from what the character's backstory is/what they've done in game), craft a story with the cards as the structure. The first card pulled is where they started, the second card is where they are now, and the third card is their future - or a warning for their future.

Animal Adoption
Announcement Text
It's adoption day at the Little Havana Animal Shelter! Stop by the LHAS pop-up in the #streets-little-havana to pick up your new best friend today!
Opening Text
Normally, an animal shelter only cares for dogs and cats. At least, that's what most people think. Thankfully, Little Havana Animal Shelter (LHAS for short), isn't so closed minded. There are, in fact, *five* unique sections in this pop-up animal village: dogs, cats, rodents, birds, and reptiles are all represented. The volunteers are roaming about, each clutching adoption forms on clipboards as they look to give their much-loved animal friends the loving home that they deserve.
Closing Text
A good number of empty cages are happily packed up. The dozens of animals adopted today have loving homes now, willing to give them the food, medicine, shelter, and kindness that the shelter was stretched thin to provide them.
Other Information
- I normally just look up random breeds in the sections people wander into. Dogs? quick Google search Yeah, there's a Dalmatian, Burmese mountain dog, and a German Shepherd.
- Give unique personalities to these pets, but unless they seem like they're going to eat the pet, the background check clears.
- For names, use a generator or your best judgement. Or your worst judgement, lol.
- Rolls for getting animals to like the players are at difficulty 7. ±X depending on temperament.

Blood Drive
Announcement Text
#jackson-memorial-hospital is hosting a blood drive! Come by and get your free cookie and juice and help your community!
Opening Text
In a sterile hospital waiting area, five chairs have been set up with waiting IV bags. The nurses are dressed in white, pink, and blue scrubs, and are already getting their first donators of the evening settled. A large table, filled with Girl Scout Cookies, cranberry juice, Oreos, and potato chips is ready for anyone who happens to stop by. The atmosphere is hopeful, but quick paced: anyone who wants to linger and talk can linger outside the hospital, not in it.
Closing Text
[if 2+ people show up] A good night for the community - the blood is taken inside the bank for storage. A lot of people are going to be helped with this.
[If 1 or less people show up] The nurses slowly break down the event, putting the chips and drinks back in the cabinets. It doesn't really seem like people were in the mood to help tonight. But that was alright. Next time, they tell themselves. Next time the turnout will be enormous.
Other Information
- Ghoul a nurse: difficulty 7
- Steal a blood bag: difficulty 7
- Steal a cookie: difficulty 6
- Werewolves: +1 Temp Honor
- Sorcerers and changelings: take 1 bashing damage. It heals by the end of the night, but they're still losing blood.
Charity Ball
Announcement Text
[Two days before] Flyers go up all over town: "Night Under the Waves Charity Ball: Help support our most vulnerable! Tickets $75. Black tie required."
[Day of] It's night of the charity ball! The #dinner-key-marina is all made up for it's "Night Under the Waves" event to help support the Miami homeless network. If you want to show off your most beautiful gowns and also support a good cause, this is the place to be!
Opening Text
Yards of blue tulle have been draped over the chandeliers to muffle the light of the ball room and tinge it blue. The tables are set up with glass bowls filled with water, and a luminescent glass blow fish bobs gently within. Women dressed in gowns with fish scales or fluttery, trailing ribbons like jelly-fish tendrils fill the ballroom. Most of the men have gone less literal, wearing ties of sea foam green or coral pink. A dinner of salmon, lobster, and steak is served with a dessert of rich sea-salt topped chocolate cake. The orchestra plays dreamy waltzes, and the moonlight sparkling off the water is too gorgeous to ignore.
Closing Text
One last song signals the end of the ball. The guests file out as the various waiters begin to clear the tables, blow out the tea lights, and break down the event. It was a magical night, but all magic must die in the end.
Other Information
- Find songs to post in the music channel to evoke the orchestra's choices of waltzes?
- Ask people to post their outfits.

An open fight night in #streets-overtown! Sign a waiver, step into the ring, and get your teeth knocked out!
Opening Text
A long line of people is waiting outside of McCloud's Gym for the fights. About half of them look like they'll be betting on the fight while the other half look like they'll be fighting. At the front of the line, there are two girls with a stack of papers in front of them. The one to the right, a Latina girl with brown lipstick and blue nail polish, hands a waiver to anyone who wants to fight. The other, a blonde with red lipstick and large hoop earrings, is handling the betting pool. The excitement is palpable, and everyone is excited for this head-to-head game!
Closing Text
[change if someone dies] The crowd cheers as [winner] raises the belt above their heads. A fantastic set of fights! The betting is called, and the winners of that particular batch of gambling is doled out. Even those who do not win are bought a round at the bar down the road in congratulations for a well-fought fight. Despite the bruises and broken teeth, everyone is smiling.
Other Information
- Using a tournament bracket maker, create the listings. If there are not enough players signed up for an even match, use the NPC template below to fill in everywhere else.
- It's up to you how long the matches should go. I say 4 rounds, with most damage taken losing.
- Anyone who wants to bet, put their money into the pool, keeping track of how much they put in and who they bet on. For the sake of your sanity, only let them bet on first place. At the end of the match, give all money to the winner. If there are 2 or more people who bet on the same person, give them a percentage based on the amount they put in (if one person bet $30 and the other $60, the second person gets 2/3s of the pot).
- Be harsh on anyone using powers to get ahead. Punch too hard and you might kill one of the humans.
- Stop the fights immediately if someone ends up seriously injured. Contact the splat head and let them know that there's been a secrecy breach for one of their players.
- Weight classes and gender do not matter. Everyone fights everyone - if someone questions it, be confrontational ("you think a woman can't do it? If you don't like it, you can leave!")
- Werewolves: +1 Rage, +1 Temp Glory for any match they win.
- Medics on site will tend to and heal 1 agg damage.

A local game shop in #streets-coconut-grove is having a Super Smash Bros. tournament! Entry fee is only $10, and for those who don't want to play there is plenty of free food!
Opening Text
Sergeant's Play Room and Games is a little old building in Coconut Grove that is run by an old army vet and old school gamer. His gruff voice and scowl intimidate many of the young players, but that means that the misogynistic, racist assholes that could run his shop know better than to start trouble at his shop.
His granddaughter, Haley, is the one running the event. A slightly overweight girl with glasses and an *Attack on Titan* hoodie, she gleefully sets up the matches with the enthusiasm of a wrestling announcer.
The beanbags are set up, the coke has been opened. It's time to rock.
Closing Text
"We have a winner!" Haley yells out, handing [winner] the paper crown. Everyone claps, a few cheer. Slowly, the gamers begin to trickle out. A few stay late to play *Magic: The Gathering,* *Mortal Kombat,* or *Lycanthrope: The Rapture* by Black Dog Games. But most people are done being total fucking dorks and head home to sleep off the Doritos and late night coffee.
Other Information

- 1-3 rounds max of Dexterity + Technology, difficulty 5, rolls should determine the winner of each match.
