Vincent Ledoux
Primarily Played by: Saeric
Patron of Dubious Arts and Entertainment
Vincent was born in 1757 in Paris, where he studied law and practiced as a clerk to a solicitor. He was ruined by scandal after his love affair with the solicitor's wife was exposed. He survived through expediency and swindles until 1789, when he began writing a political pamphlet that appealed to the Parisian masses with raw, uncouth language. It would be these downtrodden working-class city- dwellers who would make up the most militant groups in the French Revolution. He became associated with the radical Montagnard faction of Danton and Robespierre. He made the error of growing closer to Danton as the revolution progressed, and so the Committee for Public Safety had him arrested in 1794.
While incarcerated, he made the acquaintance of another prisoner who called himself “the Count of Saint-Germain.” The Count said he would take Vincent with him when he escaped, and sure enough, in a few nights the Count opened Vincent's cell. What Vincent soon learned was that he was expected to repay his rescue by becoming the Count's ghoul, with all the work that entailed.
The Count was no ordinary vampire, preying on the same shady locales every evening. He roamed across Europe, always inventing a new guise to ingratiate himself into the local nobility. He would drink, gamble, and exchange witticisms with the elite and then move on, with more than few outstanding debts and broken promises. Someone had to bring some order to the chaos by which the Count lived, and the burden fell on Vincent.
He became the buffer between the Count and the world, keeping a schedule and gathering information on important people. It was a thankless task, and Vincent suspects the Count only shared his curse with him out of convenience. He had become dependent on the Count, just as the Count relied entirely on his organization.
In 1830 Vincent betrayed the Count to a Sabbat pack in Paris, who as part of their “reward” forcibly put him through the Creation Rites. Feeling cornered as a Sabbat vampire in a Europe dominated by the Camarilla, he was in the midst of a great depression when he met the Black Pearl.
The Pearl had resided in Paris since leaving Riga some years ago. Vincent attended a “showing” organized for the Pearl and became immediately infatuated with their shameless provocation. He offered his skills to the Pearl, who accepted, having left most of their packmates in the Baltics. The Pearl “arranged” Vincent's transfer from his old pack and the two have been part of the Theater of the Uncanny since. Vincent is something like a “chief minister” to the Pearl, tending to the mundane chores of existence and managing the very sizable resources the Pearl has amassed over centuries.
This permits the Pearl to focus on flesh-crafting to the exclusion of all other concerns, which end up before Vincent instead. In return, Vincent is given free rein to control those resources as he sees fit, which for him is funding local arts and entertainment. So far, these investments have included everything from run-of-the-mill LGBT+ nightclubs to underground pornography producers. He is an investor in one of Gabrielle Flambert's operations, although the Serpent does not know that the money trail leads back to Vincent. Vincent interacts on behalf of the Theater both with the Sabbat and the mortal world. Vincent is highly active in both, which makes him a target of those within the sect who say the Sabbat should disdain mortal relations. Vincent points out be no longer follows human ethics, but his critics do not hesitate to judge. To many ordinary Sabbat, he is guilty of “acting Camarilla.” Vincent sees himself as a patron and not an artist. His style of political bombast, while appropriate for 18th century Paris, is incredibly out of place in modern Miami. He has retired the use of the written word, but still has fervent egalitarian social views. While most of the younger Sabbat consider “Le-douche” to be an uptight snob, he has Loyalist leanings. He follows the Pearl's lead in everything, however, and he supports Mendoza's rule for now.

Physical Description
General Physical Condition
The Pearl has shaped Vincent into a supermodel, with long golden locks, bright blue eyes, and perfect cheekbones. He dresses in the modern finery of the same ruling class he once denounced from the pages of his political pamphlets. His manner is naturally haughty and arrogant, and he defers only to the Pearl. He speaks English with a French accent, especially when upset.
