The Roost Isles

The Trail Isles is a set of islands which around the time of the Joining was mostly undiscovered by the old world. Before the Joining it was a group of islands around the Atlantic, but during the Recreation period, it became one of the known frontiers of the edge of the world. As time has passed The Edge has expanded, but not many expeditions have returned from exploring it.
City states have easily formed around the area due to increased patronage to explore the new lands, yet piracy, Edge storms and general competitiveness has kept these states from rising to any significant global power.
