Lina Dahlsgard
Lina Dahlsgard was born in Gloomhaven . Her father was merchant and mother unemployed. During her early days the lived in the lower district of Gloomhaven with her mother while her father was busy with caravans trading tools to Starhome. When her mother went into the market Lina would always come with and she would observe the merchants and learn their tricks.
At the age of 12 Lina got to travel with her father on a caravan and during which she focused even more on learning all she could from the merchants. She quickly got a reputation for being sharp and a girl who was hard to fool. She enjoyed the attention and praise she got and used it as her reason to keep pushing forward. She started to save up some money of her own to be able to branch out on her own one day, not because she wanted to leave her parents but because she knew that a backup plan was always good to have.
Seeing the profits from the gem trading coming from Starhome Lina decided to try and get a piece of the money. She used up almost all of her savings and established a small caravan with a mining contract to the gem mines. At first things were not looking to good and she realized that she was unable to control the trade while still living in Gloomhaven. She convinced her parents and they moved together to Starhome. Once there she started to make deals with the other merchants and she was able to form a union of the smaller merchants. This led to her income increasing massively and at the age of 34 she became the second largest merchant operating put of Starhome.
As she settled down in Starhome she got married to Oskar Hamnsport and had a child. Her father had retired at this point and they were all living together quite comfortably. Lina did however not let up on her business and left a lot of the responsibility of raising her child to her husband and parents. As the wyverns of Starpeak became more and more of a nuisance Lina knew that the gem trade would take a massive hit. She started to build up a sizable backup in case the mines were forced to shut down and started to look into trading within other markets. She was however pregnant during the time and unable to make any journey out of Starhome.
When the nightmare of memories ended Lina found herself alone with a child soon to come. She wanted to feel sad but found it hard to cry without any memories. Angry at herself she wanted to help the city become a better place. As she was one of few to have good connections to merchants and nobility around the Gloomhaven region she took on the roll of one of the members of the Starhome council.
