Starhome
Starhome is a city in the Gloomhaven region located close to Starpeak. It began as a small settlement that traded with the surrounding Spirit Clans and in time grew as their trade prospered. The city adapted to the culture of the Spirit Clans and it became a place where there was mutual respect.
The city is known both for their connection to the Spirit Clans but also an extensive mining operation they have in the Starpeak able to produce a large amount of gems. They have become an vital part in the production cycle of magical equipment because of this. The only other source of income they have is breeding mountain goats and harvesting their wool for winter clothing.
Demographics
The majority of the population is humans and dwarves from the working in the Starpeak Mountain mines and farmers producing food and tending to the mountain goats. There is also a snall group of former members from the spirit clans who have decided to settle down, minotaurs/humans/elves and more. As for the remaining population there is few people who works with refining and most just deal with common works such as bakers/blacksmiths/butchers among others.
Finally a minority of the residence are rich businessmen and women who control the mining operation and goats farming.
History
The city of Starhome have gone through several defining moments since it was formed. Since the start of the city it has grown outwards from one single oak tree which serves as the center point of the city. As the city has gone through defining moments branches of the tree have been taken and formed into totems depicting the events. These totems surround the tree and are seen as the city's life.
Geography
Starhome is surrounded by a birch forest. It lies on a slow rolling hill giving it early morning sun but often early evenings. Trough the city runs a slow river that comes from Starpeak running down the hills and thorough the forest towards Gloomhaven. Standing at the top of the town you can see the city in it's entirety including the farmland that goes along the river.
