Blade of the Plane Strider

This blade was made for a woman named Sorii Peldin. She was a mysterious vigilante who was a claimed prophet of the gods. She traveled between the planes frequently, keeping the peace between the material and the astral. While her whereabouts are unknown, her blade is now in the hands of Otmund, a traveler in Oldvale. (Made in 915)

Mechanics & Inner Workings

Created with the Gunnel Rune, which imbues the weapon with effects specific to its wielder.   This blade also allowed the wielder to tear through the very fabric of the planes with a swing of the sword when powered. The wielder could step between planes at will, so long as the rune allowed them.

Manufacturing process

Graford Obsidian was sent to the glass blowers of Genneyonne. They used a special melting process and infused the obsidian with adamantine, making it incredibly light while also making it durable.   This blade also had to be infused with a piece of each of the planes that the wielder would travel between. The easiest way to do this was to acquire a piece of a being that knows no boundaries. Sorji knew where to find such a thing, and had to embark on a dangerous journey to find a piece of a fallen god.

Significance

The first Blackblade made for someone who wasn't local to Merriby Main.
