Cassius Goldgrain II

Cassius is the son of Meliodas and Alana. At a young age, he was captured by Mindflayers who needed the blood of royalty to complete a ritual. Quinn attempted to save him, only to have the Mindflayers escape. He went in pursuit of them, chasing them for over a year, finally tracking them to a pocket dimension, where he slayed them and saved Cassius. The young boy was majorly affected by this experience. He didn't speak much in the 6 months that followed, as Quinn made his way back to the small coastal town where his mother had been hiding. Upon their return, Quinn found that she had been struck by a mysterious illness and had passed. Cassius cried no tears, but instead walked into his home and began to gather his things. He now travels with Quinn as his surrogate father. He has taken the name "Goldgrain" to protect his identity.

Cassius has not had formal education, but Quinn has taught him to read and write in common and elven. He buys books when he finds them and does his best to educate the boy.
