Saint Quinn Winsalan Dorath Goldgrain (a.k.a. Former King of Liaris, King of Elsmont, Captain)
Quinn was born on the deck of a ship, off the coast of the continent, Vopadalor. His father, a sailor, took him to a coastal city in Costrana and left him with the caretakers of a Temple of Heironeous. When Quinn was 14, he escaped and left the teachings of honor and valor behind. He lived on the streets for years, and at the age of 18, he found himself brawling for money. He grew up as a rogue and later met with a group of other
During his years in the city of Hollylock, Quinn studied sailing as much as he could, in hopes that he would be able to one day find his way back to his father.
Quinn found himself traveling on and off with a party in his late 20's. In this time, he met a number of other adventurers. He formed some valuable friendships with some of them, including Quirek, Saelethil, and Meliodas. Due to his connections to the Liaris children, he often ended up tangled in the political discourse of the legendary floating city. Thanks to some heroics in the dethroning of Rose Liaris, Quinn was recognized as a saint to the people of the city.
On one quest, Quinn made his way to the crime hub of Elsmont. It was a "city" north of Liaris that Saelethil was hoping to make an alliance with. To do this, Quinn was required to fight the Imperetor of the city. Quinn handily defeated him and was crowned king on the spot. He set up a democratic council within the city and left them to themselves, but not before establishing trade with Liaris.
Later questing led Quinn to a den of criminals who were holding a number of lycanthropes captive. Quinn rescued them and made his way to safety only to be stopped by the Alpha of the pack. The werewolf challenged Quinn, who was never one to turn down a fight. Quinn defeated the alpha and became the pack's new dominant figure. He would later call upon their help in the Battle of Liaris.
His questing led him to Dragongard, a city that was home to The Chieftain, a legendary half-dragon warmonger. After Dragongard declared war on Liaris (specifically Saelethil declaring war on his own city), Quinn swore to stand by his friends in defense of the city. He fought valiantly and helped save many citizens. As Quinn stood in defense of the portal, he ushered the Liaris twins to go through. They would not. Meliodas handed him the crown. With a handshake from Meliodas and a nod from Saelethil, who had a change of heart, Quinn saluted before stepping back through the portal. He turned his back as the portal closed. He stood alongside the remaining members of the party and looked out over the ocean. The Valient Crusade's naval forces were directly below the city, as Duskgarde's pirate military made a retreat. The citizens of Liaris stood on a grass hilltop, overlooking the battle. Quinn smiled as the city began to fall, knowing that the Liaris family had sacrificed themselves to save their people.
After the fall of Liaris, Quinn was made leader of the city. He lead the citizens to the south, where they took refuge in a Dwarven city east of Dragongard. He established a council for the remaining citizens and placed himself on it. He later left under circumstances mysterious to those of Liaris.
Quinn was last seen taking care of Meliodas' nephew, Cassius.
