Magic in Minrath

Magic is seen as a gift from Minrath as it is his breath that brought it to the world. Those that have innate magical talent are seen as being blessed by Minrath. However, there is no shame brought to those that study or pray for their magic or those that cannot cast magic at all.
When wandering Minrath you may find areas of high magical concentration where the land is infused with magic. Be careful though. Some of these areas cause magical energies to go awry and have unintended consequences. These areas are few on the First Island but get more common the further out one goes.
While magic is celebrated by the people of Minrath due to several tragedies - the final being whatever happened to Tra Bril - on the First Island spells 5th level and above are banned from use. Some say that there are exceptions that can be made at the magical colleges or for people in favor with a high enough ranking noble.
