Rose and Crown Inn

The Rose and Crown Inn is located in the new district that was constructed to house the 8th Legion, Casa Nicia in the city of Nicia.   The Inn, despite being the newest of the inns in the city, manages to still be a beacon of warmth and comfort for the patrons that frequent the place, it has become known as the go-to place for the legionaries of the 8th. During the day, the Inn serves as a place were the merchants, travelers and other people can meet making the place buzzing with conversation and laughter, every Maranis the inn is host to a more intimate setting were soft music is provided by local bards and minstrels.   The crest of the Inn depicts a white rose entwined with a crown.   The interior of the Rose and Crown Inn is lit with a soft glow from lanterns that hang from the wooden beams overhead, and despite being a very new building, the interior dont feel new as many of the materials come from older buildings that had been pulled down and the materials stored for future use, the only part of the interior that is new are the chairs and a handful of the tables as there wasn't enough to fill out the amount they needed.   The good thing about the Inn being new is that it was built to offer several types of accommodations, these range from modest, comfortable single rooms for travellers who just need a room for the night, to more luxurious suites for nobility or people who just want to pay for more comfort.   The inn is managed by a charming half-elven couple that before the Inn was constructed used to work at one of the other inns in the city where they met each other and when the Rose and Crown were being build, they brought the building from their savings and shortly after opened the new inn.

I love the contrast between the inn being newly built but using old furnishings. Sounds so cosy.

Thank you, it helps making it felt more "lived in" instead of being entirely new and "boring"
