Water magic
Water Magic is a versatile and dynamic magical discipline that harnesses the natural properties of water, ice, and steam. Practitioners of this arcane art are known as Hydromancers, masters of an ever-changing element that symbolizes both tranquility and raw, untamed power.
Water is the element of adaptability, capable of shifting effortlessly between its forms to suit the caster's needs. Whether creating freezing shackles to halt an advancing foe, summoning a torrent to cleanse and heal, or conjuring searing steam to obscure and disorient, a skilled Hydromancer wields a formidable arsenal. Water Magic also reflects the balance between creation and destruction—just as a gentle rain nurtures life, a raging flood or ice storm can bring devastation. Only those who embrace the unpredictable nature of water can hope to master the powerful and graceful art of Water Magic, becoming both healers and warriors, guardians and avengers, in equal measure.
Whether summoning mist to shroud one's movements, freezing enemies in their tracks, or feeling the flow of water, Water Magic is a study in contrasts—a blend of subtlety and overwhelming force that flows from the heart of the world's waters.
“Of course, there’s a reason I put up a sign next to the Great Hall saying ‘No Ice Skating.’ Do you have any idea what a mess it is once the ice melts? And who has to clean up that mess? So yeah, no ice skating in the Great Hall.”
But that sounds like so much fun! What a killjoy ...
You might have already heard about Elamena Farvar. She was probably the most famous hydromancer to ever live on Mirintha. Not only did she play a vital role during the war between the Tuulperi and the alliance of Valoperi and Vajoperi, but she was also one of the leading authorities in the study of ice magic. At the age of 132, she moved to a glacier in the area of the Three Sisters to conduct further research. She never returned from there, and nobody knows what happened. There are rumors that claim she is still alive, but that is ridiculous, as she would be over 300 years old by now.
But is it ...?
So good! I love the borders on the flip cards!
