Sanri

Overview

Sanri (Soranni Name), also known by many other names such as Tuunghi (Unaari Name), Hazrul (Ataarad Name), is the chief deity of evil within the greater plane of creation.

History

It is said that the creation of Sanri cannot be told without first hearing the story of the creation of the universe. In the beginning there was naught but the void, emptiness. From this emptiness, the first energy was created, and it began to coalesce into a both chaos and order. From chaos and order the worldstorm was created, which birthed two deities that battled for control over the universe. The deities battled until both had exhausted themselves and perished; it was from the corpses of the primordial deities that the first gods were born. Among these first gods was the great devouring serpent that was created purely from chaos. The serpent sought to consume the whole universe, but it was defeated in great combat with the gods Anetos and Fameis. From its death, the first realms were created with the spirit world and heavenly kingdoms made. From the corpse was birthed Sanri, an immature spirit. Fearing the spirit, but not wanting to kill it, Anetos locked it away in a box and cast it out into the void. Despite this, he created the world on top of it an uncountable time later after having forgotten about it.
Sanri, being alone and forgotten, felt only hatred after being released by mortals who unearthed the box. At his release, his anger solidified into the withering or blight, the disease that all mortals fear. He turned the civilization that found him into a horde of monsters that battled the ancient Niranni as he escaped across the world. On the other side of the world he sensed the misery caused by a queen who sacrificed her own people for their power. He disguised himself as a peasant girl and got arrested, being brought before a tyrant queen. When the queen went to strike him down and absorb his power with her magic sword, Sanri revealed himself by breaking her sword and filling the room with darkness. he used the immense magic to weaken the veil between the worlds enough for him to slip through to the spirit world by distracting the Titan guarding the chains holding the mortal world through tearing a hole in the veil. He dragged the queen to the spirit world and imprisoned her, torturing her and absorbing her power. He began to feast on the spirits of the area he was in until he grew powerful enough to wage a war against the other gods and spirits. He created his own minions through the withering and marched towards the eternal heavenly city of Anetos.
Sanri and his monsters engaged in battle with the heavenly kingdom, with Sanri making it to the heavenly palace and dueling the lord of the spirit world. Sanri ended up being wounded heavily, but at the same time infecting Anetos with the withering, causing him to shatter into ten thousand pieces. While Sanri retreated towards his own part of the spirit realm, he succeeded in causing the shattering and throwing all the worlds into a great chaos that hadn't been seen ever as spirits invaded the mortal world and gods warred each other in the heavens without an arbitrator to stop conflicts. As of present, he is still regaining his power in order to finally usurp the heavens and their vacant throne.
