Evyndale Larterbob
Name Later
Evendayle "Bobert" Larterbob is a house Mage of the Passover mages guild.
He was born in Mourndel to his parents Gartland Larterbob his father and mother Mackenay "Svelt" Marshcorn.
He has an older brother named Alvanex Marshcorn who is considered quite attractive by most people, his name was taken later in life due to finding the name Larterbob dull and filthy, no offense to Bobert. Alvanex is now 53 years of age.
They left Mourndel when the siblings were very young and traveled West to Heather and finally to Lordhall where the siblings would be given to their Uncle Robart "Iron Bart" Larterbob and his wife Graneta, Gartland's brother and sister in law.
When the boys were 23 and 29 they left Lordhall and traveled Miserlond in search of glory and fame, Alvanex now a grown man had taken up the last name Marshcorn in honor of their absconded mother and from there the brothers became minorly renowned for womanizing and fist fighting prowess, at least Alvanex was known for such incidents regarding ladies.
Years later, Bobart gained even more notoriety for a local tavern fight in Fukineet, where he knocked out the infamous knight "Steel Martin" with a swift knee to the temple. Martin had said some highly unsavory things of Alvanex and threatened to even stab the boy if he dared look at him "Funny" again.
Bobart being ferociously loyal to his older brother, challenged the seasoned war veteran and bested him after suffering a broken hand , wrist and three cracked ribs, including a bruised ocular socket.
The knight whom he fought made his moniker as a nod to the boys uncle Iron Bart, who was also an infamous knight in his day, after realizing who the boys were, Martin immediately paid for their stay in the town and the young Bobart's medical bills.
This is also the night they found out there uncle had passed, Iron Bart was slain in alleyway of Lordhall trying to thwart an assault on a young woman, Martin informed the boys the man had the shape of a shadow and a sinister grin.
This news left the boys devastated and from here they ended their traveling ways, heading home to aunt Graneta and attending their late uncle's grave site to pay respects.
The boys promised each other they would find this killer and ensure that they meet justice or death, whichever came in the moment.
Years of investigating passed with no fruition and with the boys growing distant. Bobert had taken up with a local mage's guild in Passover and Alvanex owned a tavern in Heather where he catered to the halflings and human folk who ventured there.
Bobart then met a woman at his brothers tavern named Mathilda Breenly, a half elven woman with lush green eyes and wicked red hair, they wed and stayed married for years until Mathilda told Bobart one day that she had tired of the stable life and wished to adventure.
Knowing Bobart would never leave the area until his uncle's killer had been brought to justice, she left and Bobart stayed in the mages cloister, taking a lesser role as groundskeeper while stepping down from his teaching roll.
Soon after, the brothers had their falling out over an incident with Bobart's ex wife's brother's friend's cousin. The detailed are obscured and no really knows what happened, but it caused a rift between the two sibling from which they haven't spoken since.
Leading up until today where Bobert still tends to the grounds and needs of his fellow mages at the mages guild. His ability to repair and maintain almost anything has lead to the mages purposefully trying to keep Bobart from ever moving back into a learning or teaching role at the guild.
He too grows tired of the staleness of his life and wonders often if maybe Mathilda was right, she did tell him that if he ever left to find her and he did tell her he would always love her till the day he died.
Maybe he should forget these things and stay within the guild...Or maybe....
