Cearbhall Ciernack, Weaponsmith
Cearbhall Ciernack
Cearbhall hails from the Kingdom of Azadmere, the son of a Jarin locksmith who through a tangled series of events became the apprentice of Viran Bartax Mazrabul, a dwarven master smith and Jmorvi (metal and artifice) wizard.
He has an impressive affinity for metalwork and magic. In addition, Cearbhall is an expert martial artist, having studied the Dwarven fighting style of Mánalfenír, another skill taught by Viran Bartax and his clan.
Beneath his right eye, he has a blue sword tattooed to show he specializes in the manufacture of swords. However, he is more than capable of manufacturing other weapons and armor. His personal long sword, Baodan, bursts into flame at will.
In his travels, Cearbhall learned of a potential source of exotic metals, the result of a star falling from the sky over a thousand years ago. He located the impact site, Heiryl Moor, on the isolated Island of Anfla and set up a workshop.
He plans to study the magical proprieties of the Moor and collect as much of the meteorite metal or rocks as he can find. Some he intends to give to his Dwarven teachers as a gift, and the rest is for his own use. He intends to forge more weapons for himself and a suit of Mythryl armor.
Longer-term, he is considering starting a Jmorvi Chantry located where the magical properties of the Moor are the most potent. A place he has dubbed Crechta Tulmhain, a spot where the elements of earth and fire have violently combined.
