Ivinian

Language, of the Ivinians northman influence by the ancient Dwarves but has taken a life of its own over the centuries as it has been spread by Viking conquest. Many dialects have evolved into new languages however a speaker can usually make themselves understood.
This language has a shortened version called Kántâl as a trade tongue but this is not normally used in Hârn.

Writing System

The Ivinians use the Dwarven Runic writing script and the written word can still be understood by both races.

Geographical Distribution

Spoken in the Ivinian ruled domains in the Kingdom of Orbaal in the northern coast of Hârn, however a hybrid Jarinese/Ivivian language has recently formed called Orbaalese. This language is held with some disdain.
