Part 1 - The Godstone

Godstone by Attacus
After a short rest and investigation of the surrounding rooms, the heroes travel down into Anisha's Godstone chamber.

Inside, they discover a massive snake and quickly attack. It is much more than it appears, transforming into a huge monstrosity with five serpent heads, strong clawed arms, and an enormous snake body coated with acidic slime. Its attacks are many and deadly. At various times during the battle, it spits magical venom from one of its heads at Quazzy and Yureb, turning them into mice (snacks for later?). Just as the heroes start to gain the upper hand, the monster's savage bites and claws bring down both Athena and Lucia. As it moves to finish off the weaker characters, Kalin strikes from the side, driving a short sword deep into its heart.

Part 2 - Strange Treasures

The party is badly injured but has time to look around. Yureb spots an extremely well-hidden compartment containing three Earthmaster Artifacts.

L’kirl-Wysan - A slim, silver, metallic egg about five inches long.

Green Eye of Turembor - A spherical, transparent green stone.

Amulet of the Blessing of Indaris - A small, gray metallic hexagon.

Yureb and Quazzy also successfully link with the Godstone and now have a telepathic understanding of its signature. The heroes plan to travel through the gateway to see what is on the other side once they have investigated this complex's remaining secrets.

Part 3 - The last of the Snakes

The top chamber is flooded with light from the three huge pink crystal skylights. In the center, Quazzy recognizes an Ivory colored stone altar, the Arganaku Repository. Around it is giant snakes and serpents as well as more reptile men.

Kalin and Yuren strike from the shadows, and Athena quickly decapitates one of the giant serpents. Another giant snake in a side room transform into a large humanoid snake creature and shoots oversize arrows poisoned with his saliva from his great bow. These were devastating, forcing Kalin, Yureb, and Athena to dive for cover. Lucia was struck and required magical healing to avoid death. Eventually, the party prevailed, and the last of the snake-men was killed.

Quazzy examines the Arganaku Repository and psionically attunes to it. She recalls standing on it when the Raven Woman attempted to use to claim her body.

Part 4 - The Bones

Yureb investigates a side room that had a dead snake outside. Carefully opening the door, he finds a room filled with bones. On the bones, he notices symbols, ones he had seen before on bones which were animated by a cultist bounty hunters stalking Quazzy. Quickly he seals the door as the bones begin moving.

Deciding things look safe enough, the party rest for the night.

Part 5 - The Bedroom

The next morning the party makes their way back down into the second level and explore the rest of the complex.

They find a damaged room with a broken birdcage with several dead ravens. Checking on a set of double doors, Yureb finds an indistinct magical symbol inscribed near the door. Using magic, he carefully opens the doors, triggering a protective ward, and summoning hundreds of Ravens, which swarm the party. However, they are quickly dispatched, no match for the battle-hardened heroes.

The door opens to a luxurious bedroom containing books on Arcana, with a focus on the Fyvria School of Sorcery (life, death, growth and decay magic), a large double bed, and a treasure chest with a small fortune in silver coins.

To be continued next week.
