The Servants of Dekejis
A small cult, led by Ivor the Pale, a man of questionable sanity, dedicated to purifying the Church of Naveh.
This cult is dedicated to Naveh's demonic Cat Dekejis and has an affinity with all things feline.
Structure
The High Priest is Ivor the Pale.
He has recruited three acolytes, all from among the cities street urchins.
Assets
The cult has little in the way of assets but has a share of the income from the Blue Clover Tavern.
Mythology & Lore
This cult is inspired by the demonic servant of Naveh, Dekejis, who appears as a black, glowing red-eyed cat.
Dekejis was once a favorite pet of the Goddess Halea, but Naveh stole it, blinding and castrating it. After Halea cast Dekejis out, Naveh took him in, granting it the red eyes to perceive heat and see in darkness. Naveh lets Dekejis devour the eyes and genitals of mortals, promising that they would restore his own lost organs at some point in the future. Dekejis eagerly consumes both delicacies.
Humans who lack one or the other are said to bear the Stigmata of Dekejis or the curse of Naveh.
Divine Origins
Ivor the Pale had a drug-induced vision in which Naveh’s cat, Dekejis, ordered him to purify the Navehan church.
He founded a new sect, The Servants of Dekejis, with himself as high priest and plans to carry out his patron's instructions.
Tenets of Faith
The Church of Naveh has strayed from its divine obligations and requires purification.
Dekejis will show the way.
Cats are holy.
