Canton
Canton is a Theocracy. Basic education is managed by The Church (loosely Methodist). This results in must magic users being indoctrinated to believe magic is Divine or Satanic. The basic rule of magic is: If The Church agrees with what you did it was divine otherwise it was satanic. There is an unusually high population of Beastmen and Orcs in the area, most of whom work as rangers and loggers where they can’t be bothered by humans. Canton charges a Four for every 100ft of boat to dock.
Most of the population lives within 3 miles of downtown Canton. Because of the mountainous terrain very few people live north of Riverstone Pkwy.
Living situation: Most people live in homes near canton with small subsistence farms. If business owners, above their shops. Dock / MIl workers and travelers live in Canton Lofts
All of the huge grocery stores / big box stores have been torn down (Mickel’s, Publix, Walmart, Target, etc.). Their stone walls / shelving being repurposed for housing and equipment.
