Markos Finhold

King Markos Finhold

King Markos Finhold, ruler of the Kingdom of Down, governs from the fortress city of Caer Allegain. Once a renowned warrior in his youth, Markos has always prided himself on his strength, both on the battlefield and as a ruler. His kingdom has flourished under his leadership, yet a growing challenge threatens his authority—the elves of Winterglen, led by First Mother Soliania, continue to reject his claim over their forest home, creating an ongoing and escalating source of tension.   As the years pass, Markos has found his patience wearing thin, and the refusal of the elves to submit to his rule has become more than just a political annoyance—it has turned into a question of his kingdom's strength and legitimacy. Though once a fighter of flesh-and-blood foes, Markos now faces the elusive and magically powerful elves, whose refusal to acknowledge his sovereignty risks undermining his authority in the eyes of his people and nobles.   The situation has reached a critical point, and Markos knows that soon he may have to act. As tensions rise, he considers military action against Winterglen to assert his claim over the forest, but such a move could provoke dangerous consequences, both politically and militarily. Still, King Markos is not one to back down from a challenge, and his warrior's pride may push him to take drastic measures to prove the strength of his reign and to solidify his kingdom’s borders. His decisions in the coming days could determine the future of Down’s relations with the elves—and possibly lead to open conflict.
