The Arcane Lock
Located deep beneath the Dunnith Mountains on Baeddan, the Arcane Lock is the physical manifestation of the seal which binds the mad god Nyctelios to its ethereal prison. The Arcane Lock was discovered by Malthus the Odd (who later renamed himself to Malthus Normal) who created the Bookhouse organization in order to find Nyctelios' message sent out through the insane with the means of opening the Seal and freeing the mad god. The final piece of Malthus' plan required using Emone's Metatext at the Arcane Lock to write its opening into history. This plan was halted, however, by the intervention of the League of Explorers and Adventurers.
