Baron/Baroness
Barons and Baronesses are given their rank and title by the King or Queen, and appointed a large sum of land to control and maintain for the crown. While often left to their own devices, a Baron or Baroness answers to the crown and also helps to watch the other nobles in the area for any plots of treason. Usually, they work closely with the crown, unless they are mistreated and thus begin to support any notions of rebellion instead of reporting it to be managed.
