Petor as a young boy was raised in the Holhawk Estates within Hawk's Landing before he was sent to the Crescent Enclave to begin training as many nobles in Thyram did. As a child he met and befriended the young ward of the enclave named Kaya Mist, and they were almost inseparable. Though he was the next in line for the title of Baron, he made the promise of when he was "big and a baron", he would bring Kaya in to live in the manor with him and be part of his family.
Petor grew up to become colder, crasser. He knew of what was happening to Kaya at the Enclave, and instead diverted his attention to driving a wedge subtly between her and their mutual friend Melāny Rarel, the young daughter of the Rarel house. As he tried to fall in love with the young Rarel, he discovered that his gaze was instead drawn to other men, particularly the older Lord Mica Krithley from Rishon. Knowing his house stood against such desires, he doubled down on his pursuit of Melāny, whispering to her of Kaya's more salatious acts that his cousin informed him of, though he was largely unsuccessful of making her dissolve their friendship. Petor eventually began a secret affair with one of the male servants in a local inn, paying him in copious coin to stay silent. This was discovered and when the servant was about to confess to the young baron's sexual preferences, he was found dead in what appeared to be a mugging. Eventually, Petor graduated from the Enclave with his secret intact, and later returned to properly announce his courting of Melāny Rarel with the intent to wed her.
This was put to the side as the poisonings of the houses Rarel, Jenson, and Mosslyn began to ravage Thyram, dozens of nobles dying in swift succession due to what at that time had thought to be illnesses to all but a few; the death of Ciria Rarel by bandits were seen as the stressor that caused it to activate. The arrival of the now reknown alchemist Lord Mica Krithley to help attempt to stop the deaths reingited his desires, and the two started to see each other in an intimate setting after being sworn to secrecy.
However, Petor himself had been poisoning Melāny in secret as she stayed with him in Holhawk Halls even after they broke off their courting at her behest. His cousin Keth Holhawk and their close associate Elia Mythelos had been behind tampering with Mica's tintures to spread it to all those he was seeing to. While this was later discovered and the three of them imprisoned for nearly wiping out three houses, the true mastermind of who had been behind this was kept to secrecy by Petor. He, his cousin, and Elia had more to lose by not poisoning the peaceful houses than by not.
The resulting trials saw Petor stripped of his titles and sentances to prison by his own father, his mother, and his elder sister who now held the title of Right Honorable Lady Annabelle Holhawk. He and his two co-conspiritors have been imprisoned for their crimes, though not sentenced to death at the behest of the weakened Lady Sage Mosslyn, who desired for no more death to come about of this.
