Dragonborn

Believed to be the descendants of dragons who took on human lovers in while in their humanoid forms, dragonborn are more closely related in appearance to lizardfolk than to humans. Bipedal with a long, reptilian tail, these people are found in the island of Nulka on Aelaes primarily, though can be found all over Morata. The white and silver scaled dragonborn are much more often found on Hathil, while red and gold scaled dragonborn are more often located on Kiras. However, all colors can be found everywhere, and whilst the metallic scaled types are typically more willing to work with other races, it's not uncommon for a chromatic to be just as willing. Unlike the dragons they are said to be spawns of, dragonborn are more diverse in morality depending on where and whom raised/trained them.

A military mindset is prevalent throughout the culture, and they constantly remember the dead who fought bravely and well. Dragonborn value bravery, and even the cruelest of chromatics will remember the adversary they deem their equal fondly. As such, many festivals and celebrations are held to honor the dead of both dragonborn, their allies, and their foes who are deemed worthy. Most humans refuse to venture closer to Nulka than Pig Island to the south of the main landmass, as the dragonborn are often allied with the tieflings and tribal orcs.

Young dragonborn grow quickly. They walk hours after hatching, attain the size and development of a 10-year-old human child by the age of 3, and reach adulthood by 15.
