Sierra Squad
Formed several years before the outbreak of WWII by Jonathan Renowsky aka Mr. "S," Sierra Squad is a group of seven superheroes assembled to stop Fearmonger and his Society of Fear.
At the end of the war, they played pivotal roles in the decades to come. However, the team's name would change with every new major socio-political movement to attract the current generation of readers (see Comic Book Eras of Sierra Squad).
Sierra Squad was always a branch of the military until the 1980s when Mr. "S" turned Sierra Squad into a private corporation. However, due to mismanagement by their marketing team and the deteriorating mental state of Mr. "S," Sierra Squad would disband.
After he stepped down as CEO of Superior Corp., an alzehimer-ridden Mr. "S" combined with his adaptive superpowers caused the world to completely forget about Sierra Squad and real superheroes almost overnight.
Seen them as pieces of fiction and valuable commodities, a new management team for the bankrupt Superior Corp would sell off the movie rights to their properties.
The Sierra Squad brand wouldn't reunify until the early 2000s when one man purchased the rights back and would release Superior Force: The Movie in 2010 (when Silas would arrive at Houndsmoth Manor).
After the events at Houndsmoth and the release of the movie, Sierra Squad would return again as a real superhero team under the new name: Superior Society, LLC.
