Howling Cliffs
On one side of the Low Pass, two cliff faces form a resonance chamber for the northern wind before it filters into Stenza territory. The sound of the wind is honed into a piercing shriek that almost sounds like a child's scream. When the time is right and the sky is clear and the wind rushes about, the sound can be heard across the Ice Flats as far north as Strares and the Greater Pass, echoing around the basin.
Often, the sound indicates rain from the south, which may turn into an ice storm if the conditions are right. Many artificial sirens mimic this sound when the impending crisis is weather-related.
