Carl of Stirland
Count of Stirland Carl Stir
Biography
Carl of Stirland was the first son of Otto of Stirland. House Stir is a lesser noble house controlling the region to the south-east of Denerim in the Falklands. When the Falklands were consecutively seized by the Kingdom of Myrtana and the The Night's Watch, house Stir survived the exchange of nobles in the upper echelons by keeping their head down. Carl's father passed away by a Briarfolk attack on the city of Denerim and when consequently Oblivion gates started opening in the Falklands, Carl saw no other option than throwing his lot in with the Night's Watch. By doing so he survived the purge of nobles that followed the following years and was named Chaptermaster of the Falklands in 1403. He lost dominion of his demesne but gained his position within the ranks of the Night's Watch. During his tenure as chaptermaster Carl has shown his passion for order and stability by rooting out all remnants of the Briarfolk in the region. He has reacted harshly on any signs of banditry and was greatly pleased with the opening of the Western Great Road. Keeping the peace for the trade flowing through his lands has been his main concern ever since. He died in the year 1444 under suspicious circumstances. The coroner believed that some of his food may have contained an illness common in Falklands crops.Skills
