Biography
Ralph Farstrider was born to a peasant family in
Edaur. As a boy he loved rummaging through the woods for hours. As the third child it was custom to pass him off to
The Night's Watch at his fourteenth. Here he soon showed aptitude to stealth and survival and was placed with the Rangers. When he was sixteen his patrol came upon a necromancer mage in the
Northern Frontier. Thinking they had ambushed the mage the patrol snuck closer only to find themselves surrounded by undead and black devilfire. The young boy fought like hell and only made it out alive barely. Most of his face had been scarred by the black flames and all of his comrades where lost to the necromancer and added to his legion. Ralph swore revenge and when two years later reports came in from a necromancer operating in the vicinity of
Gorgorath Ralph quickly realised it was the same mage. He snuck out of
Dragon's Keep and followed the necromancer's trail for three months before finally catching up to him near Amon-Sul. During the Night he struck and cut the throaths of the necromancer as well as those of his former comrades who served as the necromancer's personal guard in death. For this he gained the nickname farstrider and he quickly rose to fame among the ranks of the Rangers. When Sir Lancaster died
Marcus Vardenfell realised the Northen Frontier would need a lot of investment from the Rangers and named Ralph as the chaptermaster. Here he stands vigilant against northern threats ever since.
