A medical magician school that focuses on research and experimental magic to treat diseases that currently have no known cure.

Purpose / Function

Kvotomschiizh is a school for training medical magicians. Medical magicians use both magical and non-magical techniques in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and syndromes, ranging from simply heartspun episodes to heart gasping mysteries.
The school functions as a trade school and is invested solely in teaching how to research the current advancements in medical magic and in developing new and innovative techniques for treating conditions that are rare or misunderstood. There are other medical magician schools in the world, but Kvotomschiizh alone emphasizes filling the gaps in the current medical knowledge rather than just training the current information known.

Alterations

Kvotomschiizh is a large compound consisting of several buildings clustered together. The largest building houses the auditorium where different medical magicians lecture or give talks. There are two other buildings dedicated to housing (one for students, one for patients), one for the huge medical library, and one for administrative duties. In the center of the compound is a large open area where students can relax and do activities or spells that require a lot of room can be performed safely there.

The original structure of the auditorium was a plain stone building with arched entryways and tall ceilings; however, the acoustics were not very good, and it became a requirement to use magical methods of adding volume to one's voice in order to be heard by the people furthest from the main stage. It was then proposed to have the architectural students in Yoozii, famous throughout the world, redesign the building. The new building is still made of stone, but the ceiling was raised, the archways decorated, and the stone replaced with glowing blue stones that light up the school at night.

Tourism

Patients with rare or strange illnesses often come to Kvotomschiizh in search of medical assistance. There is a building dedicated to patients where they can stay free of charge while their medical needs are addressed. Some people come to Kvotomschiizh and can have their condition treated nearly immediately, but others have to stay for a longer, up to years, as magicians do their research and investigate the best ways to help.
