Lizh
the god of water
Lizh is the god of water according to the believers of the Infinite Eyes. Its tears form the oceans. Zhok's iris continually pulls water away from the surface, but Lizh's tears are so numerous that the seas stay at their constant level.Divine Domains
Lizh has dominion over water of all kinds, especially salt water like the ocean. Associated with water is the sense of development, of flow, of momentum, but there is an inherent contradiction in this characterization of Lizh, as they are described as stuck in their desire to be with the earth god Dhûm despite eir permanent rest. This grief is everlasting.
Holy Books & Codes
Lizh, Dhûm, and Zhiys were not revealed by the Thîb Hihinkuh, but were later uncovered during the formation of the Codex of Eyes, which contains the holy texts of Zhok. Their stories were codified within a few short months after the death of the Thîb Hihinkuh, with adherents believing that dreams and visions were sent to other chosen people after its death.
Divine Symbols & Sigils
Lizh's symbol is the half open eye: a circle with a horizontal line through the center to represent an eyelid and an arc underneath to represent a pupil.
Holidays
When adherents to the Infinite Eyes of Zhok lose a loved one, funerals are held in Lizh's honor.
Divine Goals & Aspirations
Lizh wants to live with Dhûm and is waiting for eir rest to cease for them to be together. However, Lizh does not believe that Dhûm will ever rise again. This grief fuels her second goal, which is to cry for so long that Zhok can never clear the oceans of her tears away.
