Aatuk

Aatuk is a continent in the far north of Aihrde.  It's southern coast has forests and plains that can support life along the coast of the BANNING SEA.  Inland you hit mountains or roll further into plains where you soon find ice cover year round.  
Originally settled by the Aathuk people.  It was once the center of a large empire the ruled much of the Northeastern Aihrde and the Island of JANUK.  This empire fell ages ago, and now it is sparsely populated by the remaining Aathuk people along with a small dwarven and halfling population.
