Baldwin II
After Ephremere's long reign ended, she was laid to rest next to her father, Baldwin I in the crypts below Aachen. A druid of the ORDER OF THE OAK crowned him as her son King Baldwin II. Already 50 years old, Baldwin did not rule for long, but in the short time he sat on the throne, he exempted all woven articles from taxes for five years. In so doing, he bolstered the textile industry in Aachen, which found ready markets for the finished products in the western kingdoms of Ursal and lay the foundations for his own kingdom’s wealth.
