Knights-Protectorate
The Knights-Protectorate are the bodyguards of the King of Avalon and the royal family. Often selected from the ranks of the most gallant and formidable knights of the realm, the seven Knight-Protectors are sworn to guard the king with their lives. The members of the Knights-Protectorate take vows of celibacy when they are first anointed, and are prohibited from owning lands or income.
Duties
The Knights-Protectorate’s first and foremost duty is the defense of their king. They are obliged to obey their sovereign in all things, however a Knight-Protector can leave or be relieved of their oaths if they are unable to perform their duties.Historical Members
